Hi, my name is Heather. For 10 years, I have been providing a safe, clean, loving, nurturing, fun, and educational place for kids to spend their days learning, building friendships, and playing. My job isn’t always easy, but the rewards of smiles, laughter, and hugs are why I choose to make child care my career.
My goal is to work with parents to support and encourage their children’s cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and language development through creative learning, imaginative play, and age-appropriate activities in a safe, loving environment. More than the diapers, meals, band-aids and hugs, a big part of my job is to prepare kids for kindergarten…and beyond.
I have lived in the Wichita Falls most of my life. My husband, Chris and I have two great children. Both are teens now; Stormie (our oldest) and Jody. I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, spending time outside, and reading.
Through my years as a child care provider, I have hundreds of hours of training. I have earned my Child Care Credential as well as a CDA. I have taken child development courses, classes on kindergarten readiness, current writing styles, sign language, special education, infant care, art, science, and many more. I keep current my SUID, CPR, Abusive Head Trauma, and First Aid trainings.
I am a member Southwest Human Development Child Care Program for nutrition and Red River Home Childcare Association, and Licensed with the State of Texas.
